I enjoy the ink marbling technique, but can only do it in black and white. The colors have to be added over the monochromatic image. For this reason, I have modified the marbling technique by splashing ink and watercolor on a piece of white enameled masonite, guide the colors and ink to flow and mix in the desired way, and transfer the image to a sheet of absorbent rice paper. After the paper is dried, I develop it into a painting.
